Little Black Number

Posted in Designers, Latest Fashion, Styling Tips, Uncategorized

I’m sure all you women out there know exactly what I mean when I say ‘Little Black Number,’  as a little black number is something all us women have tucked away somewhere in the depths of our wardrobes, that dress you always look good and feel sexy in.

Just in case you’re not familiar with the little black dress here are some things you should know about the Little Black Dress:

  • The Little Black Dress is that one item of clothing that you never throw away and is a classic buy.
  • The Little Black Dress is that dress that can be worn in summer autumn, winter or spring.
  • The Little Black Dress is the dress you pull out when you are in a dilemma and cannot find anything else to wear.
  • The Little Black Dress is that dress you wear on your fat days, you know the day’s when you look in the mirror and all you can see is rolls and ripples even though they are none existent.

The good thing about little black dresses is that they are quite easy to accessorize.  All you really need is a pair of diamante studded earrings a chain if you need one, a nice pair of strappy shoes or maybe a pair of courts, a nice clutch bag and you’re good to go.

Though I’m a gal that likes putting together outfits when I’m going out,  I do have them days when I can’t be bothered to think of what to wear  so I take my little my little black dress out and it  never ever lets me down.

If you haven’t yet got your hands on a little black number hurry up and go out and buy yours as it will never let you down and you’ll be able to wear it forever!!

It’s All About the Maxi!!

Posted in Designers, Latest Fashion, Uncategorized

I’m off on holiday in 5 weeks time and guess where I’m going…..I’m going to sunny Miami.  Woohoo! I cannot wait.  Sun, Sea and Sand, what else can a girl ask for.   As you’ve already probably guessed I’m already doing my holiday shopping.  So far I’ve only brought dresses which is kind of weird for me as when I was younger I only ever brought shorts and short skirts to go on holiday with however now I’m getting a little older I’ve noticed myself buying more modest holiday clothing especially maxi dresses.

As you may have already noticed Maxi Dresses have taken the world by storm, they’re everywhere at the moment, more than they’ve ever been.  I love Maxi dresses as you can wear them with flat sandals during the day and heels on a night out (whilst it covers your s and doesn’t swing at your ankles).

River Island has a wide variety of Maxi’s as well as New Look and Marks and Spencer.  They’re reasonably priced as well.  For me it’s time to look sophisticated on holiday so if you feel the same take a look at what’s on the market at the moment.

“Bum Bag” or “Fanny Bag” that’s the question?

Posted in Designers, Latest Fashion

The Bum Bag is BACK!  Yes you heard right the bum bag is back.  Known to the Americans as ‘fanny bags’ and  the English as ‘bum bags,’ the famous 80’s ‘Hand bag’ is back along with double -denim, cycling shorts, and neon shades.

The thought of wearing a bum bag might make you cringe, but  many famous high street brands are backing the comeback of the bag including, Marks and Spencer, Topshop, River Island and American Apparel.

I have to thank Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs for re-introducing the bum bag during Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010. You’re probably wondering why I’m thanking them, well I actually like the bum bag and will definitely be investing in one or two this summer.

I have a feeling that not many people will be wearing the bum bag this summer however I could be wrong, we’ll see.

Alexander McQueen: Gone But Not Forgotten

Posted in Designers, Latest Fashion

Alexander McQueen’s final collection was presented at the Gilded Salon in Paris this week.  Being one of my favourite designers I thought I’d put together a little tribute to show my appreciation to the man who brought art into fashion and show you a few of his final designs.

The designs were beautiful, they were masterpieces.
