Hello Stylista’s, I hope you are all well.  As you can see this is my first blog for a while.  So before writing it I had to have a real think about what I’d write.  I didn’t want to just jump back into talking about the latest trends or which celebrity is dressing the best at the moment.  I had to have a real hard think about what ‘Style Makes Sense,’ is, and what Style Makes Sense is about. After breaking it down and thinking about it for a while what come to me was Style Makes Sense is about helping you to look good as well as feel good. Style Makes Sense isn’t solely about Fashion it about looking good in every aspect, inside and out.  What I mean by that is looking good from head to toe, from the inside out.  So that includes your hair looking good as well as your nails, your body looking good as well as the clothes you wear on it.

We live in a world where celebrities are admired.  Many celebrities are trendsetters. We copy everything from their hairstyle to what they wear. Most celebrities look great at all times but do you really think them looking good just comes down to throwing on a designer dress and getting their hair done by a celebrity stylist? Well if you did the answer is NO. Most celebrities or should I say all have strict diets and intense fitness regimes. ‘I didn’t say it was easy to look good,’ lol!

So from now on so you too can look like hot celebrities Style Makes Sense will be providing you with tips on everything from tips on eating healthy, exercise tips, hair, make up and of course fashion and styling tips.

Hope you’re ready for the best ride of your life!!!

I’ll Be Back!!

Beauty Must Haves

As we all know us women have it hard.  Unlike men we can’t just wash and go.  We have to do our hair and make- up, shave our legs, wax our arms and all the rest.  I’m a fashion lover but it doesn’t stop there.  To look good you have to have it all going on; the hair, make-up, nails.  Everything has to be right, from head-to-toe.

I dunno about yours but my handbag is always full with beauty products.  I can’t leave the house without my lipgloss, foundation, handcream, nail varnish (just in case of a chipped nail), mascara………..the list goes on.

Finding good beauty products can be hard and it can sometimes be trial and error so you should always try and find what’s best for you.  I use a wide range of beauty products and I’m always looking out for what’s new on the market.

One thing I’d say is never buy a product because it looks good on your mate or because it is currently the in thing, as it may not be for you.  Always test products before you buy them to make sure they go with your skin tone or it does what you want it to do. See below a couple of the beauty products I’m currently using.

Who said being a woman was easy?

GHD 99’s Having short hair I find these great.  They’re hot within seconds and do the job.

L’Oreal Super Liner One of the best liners I’ve ever had.  If you haven’t got a steady hand this would be good for you as the tip is not to thin and not to thick.  Also it lasts for approximately 12 months. I swear.

Bobbi Brown’s Concealer Foundation I love this.  It doesn’t leave your skin looking greasy and hides marks. It makes my skin look flawless.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Great if you’re like me and can never stay still long enough allowing nail varnish to dry  and ends up smudging a couple of nails.  This nail varnish dry’s very quickly and lasts long.

Dermologica Special Cleansing Gel This  has done wonders for my skin.  Moving from a soft water area to a hard water area played its toll on my skin.  I changed my face wash on several occasions but couldn’t find anything that worked.  I was then told about Dermologica skin mapping so booked an appointment at a beauticians that specialised in Dermologica products.  I was then given a sheet showing all products I should use.  I invested in them all and my skin has improved immensely.  Pricey but very good!

Bobbi Brown’s Tinted Eye Brightener Great for dark under eyes. Works well for me and is easy to apply.

Mac Blusher I love Mac products and have spent hundreds on them over the years.  This Blusher is great as it isn’t too heavy and stays put all day long.

Mac Lustre Glass As mentioned before, I love Mac Products and I must say Mac lipglass is my favourite.  I have them in every colour possible.  They last long and you don’t need to keep reapplying.

YSL Exaggerated Lashes Mascara This is the best mascara I’ve ever used.  It makes my lashes look long and thick and I don’t even have to use much.

Astral Moisturiser I grew up using this moisturizer and  I’ve never stopped using it on my body and face.  It keeps my face feeling soft and moist.
